A Little Bit About Me

I've been dancing ever since I was 4 years old. Growing up, I trained in afro-latin jazz, hip hop, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, salsa, and ballet. Later in life, I found line dancing, country swing, and heels dance, which lit my soul on fire, re-ignited my passion for dancing, and eventually led me to begin my career as a dance teacher. I love to see the joy my students experience as they learn a new step - it's like I can see the moment when it clicks in their mind. Seeing my students progress is now what brings me joy, and I'm so excited I get to share my love of dance with my community.

I started Tahoe Line Dancing to bring country dance to the Tahoe region, which has been a very exciting endeavor. Now, Dance with Roxy is my endeavor to reach beyond just the Tahoe region, and also open me up to teaching a more expansive variety of dance styles.

When I'm not dancing, you can find me doing all the Tahoe things: hiking, biking, camping, rock climbing, backpacking, paddleboarding, swimming, skiing, etc. Most importantly, my free time is spent with my sweet 9-year old rescue dog, Healy the Hound.
